Dog Education
The Vicky Ortiz Dog Education & Pet Services programs are based on positive reinforcement. Experience has shown that positive reinforcement allows the dog to learn much faster, enjoy the training and improve their relationship with its companion.
Every training program starts with an evaluation of both the dog and the companion. This evaluation serves as a basis for Vicky Ortiz Dog Education & Pet Services to get to know her client and the dog, to have an overall understanding of their relationship and to decide which training program will be the most useful to focus on their needs.
It is essential to have the presence of the companion at the training sessions because Vicky Ortiz Dog Education & Pet Services‘s goal is to teach the companion how to train their own dog. That way they learn to communicate with their dog in the best possible manner. We encourage the client’s commitment to learn how to apply the lessons on their own.
Dog Walking
The walks are guided and can be individual or in small groups of up to five dogs. In addition to the physical exercise, your dog will perform mental exercises such as focusing on not pulling on the leash, not crossing over from side to side and not growling at other dogs.
Our program is not all about work. It will include activities that are very necessary for their mental development as well. Your dog will also have time to smell the grass, dig in the dirt, run and play with other dogs. After the walk, your dog will be calm, happy, relaxed and want to rest.
Pet Sitting
While pet sitting, VODE assures you that there will be good company, guided games, rest periods and an enjoyable massage in the comfort of the dog’s own home. We can give your dog it’s medicine or food if requested
